Iboga Alkaloid Encyclopedia
Clinician-grade reference for the 12+ indole alkaloids in Tabernanthe iboga root bark and full-spectrum total alkaloid (TA) extract. Each entry includes formula, approximate TA share, receptor profile, and the role the alkaloid plays in MindScape's onsite taper bridge versus the ibogaine HCl flood dose.
Quick Answer
What alkaloids are in iboga total alkaloid (TA)?

TA vs HCl
Total alkaloid (TA) is not the same as ibogaine HCl
Iboga TA is the full-spectrum extract — every alkaloid below in their natural ratios — used at sub-psychoactive doses (typically 50–150 mg BID) during MindScape's onsite taper to bridge SSRI/SNRI/benzodiazepine and short-acting opioid discontinuation under continuous cardiac telemetry. Ibogaine HCl is the isolated hydrochloride salt of ibogaine alone, reserved for the flood dose after every safety threshold has been cleared. Read the full TA vs HCl comparison →
Primary Psychoactive
The dominant indole alkaloid by mass in Tabernanthe iboga root bark and the molecule used at flood-dose.
Active Metabolite
In vivo metabolites that carry the long-tail clinical effect after the parent alkaloid clears.
Minor Alkaloids
Lower-share constituents of full-spectrum TA whose receptor coverage broadens the bridging effect during taper.
Ibogamine
C₁₉H₂₄N₂ · 280.41 g/mol
Cardiac-sparing minor indole alkaloid in iboga TA — present at meaningful share, contributes to TA's broader receptor footprint.
Tabernanthine
C₂₀H₂₆N₂O · 310.43 g/mol
Mild psychoactive minor indole alkaloid in iboga TA; isomeric cousin of ibogaine.
Coronaridine
C₂₁H₂₆N₂O₂ · 338.45 g/mol
Anti-inflammatory minor iboga-type alkaloid; nicotinic acetylcholine receptor activity.
Ibogaline
C₂₁H₂₈N₂O₂ · 340.46 g/mol
Methoxylated ibogaine analog present at trace levels in iboga root bark.
Conopharyngine
C₂₃H₃₀N₂O₃ · 382.50 g/mol
Minor iboga-type indole alkaloid; member of the broader iboga alkaloid family.
Iboluteine
C₂₀H₂₄N₂O₂ · 324.42 g/mol
Iboga-type indole alkaloid; minor TA constituent.
Iboquine
C₁₉H₂₂N₂O · 294.39 g/mol
Trace iboga indole alkaloid; included in full-spectrum TA characterization.
Ibogamiline
C₂₀H₂₆N₂O · 310.43 g/mol
Methoxylated ibogamine-related alkaloid; minor TA constituent.
Voacristine
C₂₂H₂₈N₂O₄ · 384.47 g/mol
Hydroxy-voacangine relative; minor iboga-family indole alkaloid.
Precursor Alkaloids
Biosynthetic precursors and structural relatives present at trace-to-low levels in TA.
