The Supervised Session

Administration happens with a physician and nursing staff present and your vital signs monitored throughout. The acute experience is short, and you are held in a safe container the entire time.

Monitored Recovery

After the acute effects subside, you rest under observation until your vitals are stable and you feel grounded. We do not rush this part.

Same-Day Integration & Departure

You sit down with our team to begin integration while the experience is fresh, then leave with a clear sense of what to carry forward. Guests who want continued support can add integration sessions afterward.

The $1,450 covers your full day at our Cozumel medical facility: pre-session medical screening (EKG, vitals, medication review), a physician and nursing team present throughout, the supervised 5-MeO-DMT (Bufo) session with continuous cardiac monitoring, monitored recovery, and a same-day integration sit-down. It is all-inclusive of the day and the medical care around your session. Travel to Cozumel and lodging are arranged separately and are not part of the program price.

Yes, because 5-MeO-DMT is short-acting. The acute effects of the vaporized compound peak within roughly 5 to 10 minutes and largely subside within 30 to 45, unlike ibogaine, which requires extended overnight cardiac observation. That short duration is what makes a single, fully supervised day realistic. Every part of the medical structure is still present; the day is condensed, not cut down.

Guests arrive any time between 9am and noon, and the supervised session begins at 1:30pm. The program runs daily except Sundays. Arriving in the morning gives us time to confirm your screening and prepare you calmly before the session, and it lines up naturally with a day in port for cruise travelers.

Yes, this is exactly what the day program is built for. Cozumel is a major cruise port; ships dock in the morning and leave in the evening, and our schedule fits that window: arrive between 9am and noon, session at 1:30pm, and you are finished and integrated with time to return to your ship the same evening. Because 5-MeO-DMT is short-acting, no overnight stay is needed. Tell us your ship's schedule and we plan around it, and book ahead since space is limited.

The program is capped at 10 guests per day. We keep the group small on purpose, so physician and nursing supervision stays personal and every guest is properly screened, prepared, and monitored. Because of the cap, we recommend booking ahead of the day you want, especially around a cruise port day.

The program itself is designed to be completed in one day, and you do not stay at the facility overnight. Because 5-MeO-DMT is short-acting, extended overnight observation is not required the way it is for ibogaine. That said, we recommend not traveling far the same evening, and we are happy to advise on nearby lodging so you can rest afterward.

The day program gives you the supervised experience and the start of integration in one focused day. The full retreat adds preparation over several days and a structured 90-day integration program afterward, which is where a single session becomes durable change for many people. The day program is the right fit if you want the experience done safely without a multi-day stay; the full retreat is the better fit if deep, ongoing integration is your priority. 5-MeO-DMT is a Schedule I controlled substance in the United States, which is why supervised sessions are not available there. Mexico does not classify naturally occurring tryptamines the same way, which places it among a small number of jurisdictions where a supervised session can be conducted in a clinical setting. MindScape operates in Cozumel, Quintana Roo, with physician oversight and compliance with Mexican health regulations. Traveling to Mexico is legal for US citizens; returning with the substance is not, so consult your country's customs authority.

Screening exists to keep the wrong candidates out. Contraindications include uncontrolled hypertension, cardiac arrhythmias, recent heart attack, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, active psychosis or a schizophrenia-spectrum condition, pregnancy or breastfeeding, current MAOI use (including some antidepressants and ayahuasca combinations), and serotonin-blocking medications. A personal or family history of sudden cardiac death warrants careful evaluation. We screen every guest before accepting them, and we turn people away when it is not safe.
