Profile

Ibogamine is a structurally close iboga-type indole alkaloid lacking the methoxy group of ibogaine. In animal and in-vitro studies it shows behaviorally relevant central activity at doses comparable to ibogaine but with a less pronounced hERG signal in published in-vitro screens.

Ibogamine is one of the alkaloids that distinguishes full-spectrum TA from purified ibogaine HCl. It is present at meaningful share in iboga root bark TA and contributes to the broader receptor footprint that the taper protocol is designed to engage.
